National Preparedness Month is the perfect time for commercial property teams to evaluate their safety plans and resources. To help with these efforts, BOMA International is posting new emergency preparedness resources specifically catered to the needs of property professionals to its Security and Preparedness webpage each week throughout September.

This week’s page features information on free mobile phone apps provided by federal organizations to help property professionals and others prepare for and recover from a disaster, as well as an emergency toolkit. Be sure to check back each week for new resources. And, don't forget, BOMA International's Emergency Preparedness Guidebook, the leading preparedness resource for commercial real estate, is discounted 20 percent this month.

The entire month leads up to National PreparAthon! Day on September 30, which is a national grassroots campaign, sponsored by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), encouraging businesses to perform preparedness activities and tabletop exercises. Check out FEMA’s webpage for more information on how to get involved in National PreparAthon! Day.
