Membership Types

Building Members may be any venture, partnership or corporation owning or managing commercial real estate within Cuyahoga, Geauga, Lake, Lorain, Summit, Medina, Stark, and Portage Counties. Building membership may be utilized by any building that is used predominantly for public or private commercial tenants or by the owner for its own commercial purpose. Building dues range from a minimum of $1,100 to a maximum of $8,400 per owner, as determined by a factor applied to net rentable square footage and are assessed on a calendar year basis. There is also a one-time $200 application fee. For multiple buildings with the same ownership, the largest building is assessed the applicable dues rate; all others pay 50% of applicable rate but no less than the minimum dues of $1,100.

An applicant must include the largest building or facility (based on rentable square footage) located in the Greater Cleveland area into membership before including a smaller building facility or an affiliate service company.

Special Purpose Building Members may be any venture, partnership or corporation owning or managing commercial real estate associated with, but not limited to governmental, educational, hospital, cultural, non-profit or research organization.  Dues are $1,000 and are assessed on a calendar year basis.  There is also a one-time $200 application fee.

Industrial Building Members may be any venture, partnership or corporation owning or managing industrial real estate within Cuyahoga, Geauga, Lake or Lorain Counties.  . Industrial Building dues range from a minimum of $1,000 to a maximum of $8,000, as determined by a factor applied to net rentable square footage. There is also a one-time $200 application fee.

Associate Members may be any company that provides services or supplies to the commercial real estate industry.  Prospective members must have been in business at least one (1) year and provide one (1) letter of reference from a current BOMA Building Member. Associate Membership dues are $1,000 and are assessed on a calendar year basis.  There is also a one-time $200 application fee. Beginning July 1st, membership dues are discounted, contact us for more information.

Professional Members may be any company that primarily provides consultative services that are product/service neutral, meaning that they must not also (a) directly provide products and/or services related to their area of knowledge, or (b) indirectly provide products and/or services related to their area of knowledge through a related business entity. This includes those firms duly registered in the professional practices of architecture, engineering, appraisal, law, etc.  Prospective members must have been in business at least one (1) year and provide one (1) letter of reference from a current BOMA Building Member. Dues are $1,000 and are assessed on a calendar year basis. There is also a one-time $200 application fee.  Beginning July 1st, membership dues are discounted, contact us for more information.
